Title: Conversion of waste Cooking Oil and waste Plastics Into Bio Hydrocarbon
Authors: Saatish Kumar S\O T. Sambanthan
Abstract: The intention of conducting this research is to determine the parameters of hydrocarbon obtained as outcome of waste cooking oil and waste plastic after undergoing pyrolysis process. The global plastic manufacturing expanded over years due to huge utilizations of plastics in various parts. The nonstop request of plastics caused the plastic waste collection in the landfill expended a great deal of spaces that added to the natural issue. The ascending in plastic request prompted the consumption of crude oil as a feature of non-sustainable energy source since plastics were the crude oil-based material. A few choices that have been created to oversee plastic waste were reusing and energy recovery strategy. At the same time waste cooking oil also has become a biggest thereat to the environment where the waste cooking oil are not being disposed in right way and directly poured into drainage which become the main cause of drainage blockage, water pollution and end up in river then sea which endangering the marine life. While this waste cooking also can be reused or used in energy recovery strategy. In any case, there were a few disadvantages of the reusing technique as it requires high work cost for the division procedure and caused water pollution that decreased the procedure maintainability. Because of these disadvantages, the specialists have occupied their considerations to the energy recovery strategy to repay the high energy request.
Through broad research and innovation improvement, the waste cooking oil and waste plastic change to energy was created. As oil was the fundamental wellspring of plastic production, the recuperation of plastic to fluid oil through pyrolysis procedure had an incredible potential since the oil delivered had high calorific value equivalent with the commercial fuel. While waste cooking oil also has high potential of using as commercial fuel after undergoing pyrolysis process.
