Nowadays, there is an increasingly high demand on sustainable buildings in many construction projects. Realizing this prominent fact, the construction industry has its impacts on the environment in multiple ways and therefore professionals are deliberately looking for the perfect and futuristic way to encounter environmental issues. The most pivotal decision with regards to sustainable building should be made during the design phase of building construction. Designers require specific information and assessment about sustainable building. They need to do certain computation of construction works in order to have quality performance in sustainable design. Thus, currently BIM has been proven to be an effective method that can be implemented in their design. With the rapid development of sustainability assessment tools such as BREAM and LEEDS, this would enable BIM to integrate with the necessary sustainability data and information in a construction project. The objective of this paper is to propose that BIM tools should be integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio (MVS) to enhance the assessment of sustainability. This would enable and facilitate the design team and stakeholders to enhance their targeted sustainability performance.en_US
