I have written this book for you if you have thought long and hard about starting up a coaching business and have decided to go ahead, or if you are considering starting and running a coaching business and want to know more about what will be involved. You may be on the way towards a professional coaching qualification, or already have achieved either accreditation or part-accreditation as a coach. You may be moving into coaching from a learning and development, internal coaching or human resources background, or after working as a line manager. Or you may be a psychologist working in business, as I am. You could be moving into coaching from a different and, possibly, unrelated field. You may have gained experience of working as a coach during your training, already worked as an internal coach, read several books on coaching, talked to effective and successful coaches, and may have experienced helpful coaching yourself at some stage in your career or life.en_US
