The ability to solve engineering problems is a fundamental outcome in the education of the future engineers. In fact, the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) in its manual has extensively outlined outcomes related to complex engineering problems. Engineering graduates in Malaysia are expected to have such abilities. Hence, undergraduate programmes are now being enhanced such that students are exposed to complex engineering problems since the beginning of their studies in year 1. However, the question arises whether students are actually being thought on how to methodologically solve such engineering problems. TRIZ (the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) gives the method to solve inventive problems which are developed specifically for manufacturing process. Thus, there exists a potential to equip the Electrical Electronics and Electrical Power engineering curriculum, of the electrical domain, on solving complex engineering problems inventively using TRIZ tools. This paper describes a proposed TRIZ course for BEEE (Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering) and BEPE (Bachelor in Electrical Power Engineering) in UNITEN. The COs (Course Outcomes), POs (Program Outcomes) and PEOs (Programme Educational Objectives), CO-PO mapping and the assessment methods of the course are discussed.en_US
