In this study, we proposed a research model to investigate the factors influencing individuals' usage of telehealth, in particular, MyHealth portal, a subcomponent of telehealth in Malaysia. MyHealth portal's intention is to provide health and medical information for Malaysians through the internet, and be a source for local information with variety of topics specially related to Malaysians. This information will be useful in future planning of self-prevention, precautions and own care. However, the use of MyHealth portal is still very low despite the benefits it offers. The Uses and Gratifications Theory will be used as a building framework for this study. Data collection processes will involve few interview sessions, which will be used to develop sets of questionnaire to be sent out to individuals who use the MyHealth portal. © 2013 IEEE.
